Lower Granary
Built in the local stone like the other units, the Upper Granary is approached up the old granary steps (there is a handrail and a nightlight), and from its elevated position enjoys the best views over the valley towards the Black Mountains. The airy living room has exposed beams and the skylight over the kitchen section will cool you on sultry days, and you will find a full cooker, microwave and fridge with adjacent dining area. The living area has a colour TV/video player and a radio/cassette CD player, and a three seater sofa converts into a double bed when required.
The Lower Granary is converted from the old stable and wagon house. It has a generously-sized living area, with a three seater sofa which converts to a double bed when needed. There is a Colour TV and video player, also a radio/cassette and CD player. The open plan kitchen has full electric cooker, microwave and fridge. There are ample work surfaces and cupboard space, with a dining area adjacent.
The bedroom has twin beds, and the shower room with handbasin, heated towel rail and toilet is off the bedroom.
There are ancient oak beams in the living area, and french windows open onto Cwrt-y-Gaer's broad lawn, which is surrounded by the majestic trees of the old moated fort, with views over the distant rolling hills. A bridge over the moat leads to pastureland and the woods.
Linen and electricity is included in the price, and there is no extra charge for pets.
In the shared utility room there is an automatic washing machine, tumble drier and ironing facilities; while in the barn there is a mini snooker/pool table also a table tennis table.
Access Statement: Lower Granary is approached from the private carpark by a paved path to a cobbled area leading to double french windows. There are two steps from the living area into the bedroom.
